How giving a beehive works

Choose a share, from an eighth of a hive ($120) to a whole hive ($960). Add a personal message and pick the day the gift should arrive - a birthday, a wedding or a holiday.

On that day the recipient gets an email and claims the gift in a couple of clicks. From then on the hive share is theirs: they can design its look, follow it in the app and choose what happens to the honey.

Why it is a good gift

It is personal - their name on a plaque on a real hive. It is a story they can follow for a whole season, and it ends with honey from their own bees. And it supports small farms and the bees themselves.

How it works

Choose a share: an eighth, a quarter, a half or a whole beehive. Presale prices start at $120 and are 20% below launch prices.

Your share is registered in your name and assigned to a real hive on a partner apiary in Armenia. Design how it looks - hive colour, a plaque with your name, your own jar label and packaging.

Follow your bees through the season in the Aygepan app: a live camera once the hive is placed, monthly photo reports, and a farm you can explore like a game.

At harvest you choose what happens to your honey: ship it to your door anywhere in the world, sell it, or reinvest. A whole hive is estimated at 8–14 kg of honey a year once it is producing.
